Vienna - Budapest New Year\'s Concert
Festive Season Opener with Strauss Rarities and the St. Ephraim Male Choir
Tradition and innovation - a meeting of something old and something unexpected at the first major event of the year. At Danubia\'s New Year\'s Concert, classical Strauss masterpieces are paired with Ravel\'s overwhelming choreographic poem, La Valse, followed by the unique energies of the St. Ephraim Male Choir filling the hall.
The popular ensemble is preparing more than just a festive selection: they will also shine in Strauss works that the composer originally scored for male choir and orchestra. As a true rarity, the audience will be able to hear the Blue Danube Waltz in its original form, exactly as it first set out on its journey to conquer the world.
The host and conductor of the evening is Máté Hámori, who will complement the musical experience with his trademark personal stories. Join us and start the year 2027 at the Danubia Orchestra\'s premier festive event!
